A long time resident of Annapolis, Maryland, the author is an avid sailor, tennis player, movie watcher, and book reader.
In addition to his new Domino Run novel, he has written two Native American mysteries,Herons Poynte and its sequel, Return of the Amerind. Information and reviews about them can be found on the last two pages of this website.
Prior to becoming a novelist, the author started his own filmmaking company, Callaghan Films, LTD. During this time, he won many national awards for his work including four Emmys, three Cable Aces and two Telleys. One of his feature film scripts, The Last Foxhunt, was honored with a Gold Medal at the Houston International Film Festival.
Mr. Callaghan received a B.A. in English Literature from Kenyon College and a M.A from Northwestern University. He can be reached at
